- Job Description
- We are looking for an IT Team Leader (local contract) to work within the Corporate Investment Banking team in Porto. Reporting directly to the Production Application Manager of the CIB & AWM business unit in Porto, and functionally attached to the manager in Paris, you will oversee production activities for several perimeters. This role is a crucial one in the implementation of new projects as well as in maintaining the expected level on the application services already in place. We look for someone ready to take on this challenge with a teamwork approach, a mindset focused on sharing and boosting collective efficiency. A curious and autonomous leader, attentive to the technical aspects of new technologies, ready to both share and integrate knowledge and experiences.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Solid experience leading Production teams;
- Managing the day-to-day activities of the team and act as a facilitator with different teams;
- Monitor and improve change and incident management process;
- Conduct and ensure DRP exercise for critical applications;
- Identify and implement standards, best practices and methodologies in the team;
- Ensure operational conditions for the maintenance activities of all applications concerned;
- Ensure the continuity of services;
- Motivating the team to achieve performance goals;
- Developing and implementing a timeline to achieve targets;
- Empower team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills;
- Define career plans, in cooperation with the local HR team;
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback;
- Define strategies with management for the development of the activities locally;
- Define objectives and monitor their achievement;
- Plan, build and follow-up on training needs and plans, aligned with the local HR team;
- Ensure that all the activities are aligned with the business strategy;
- Qualifications
- Higher education in Computer Science, Engineering or similar;
- Solid experience in team management and change management;
- Good understanding of IT Infrastructure & Development concepts;
- Experience managing strategical, transversal and complex IT projects;
- Experience working with multicultural teams, in international environments;
- Experience in Banking & Finance will be a plus;
- Fluent level of English
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written;
- Ability to effectively manage and communicate with different stakeholders;
- Assertive personality with good negotiation skills;
- Strong sense of commitment and ability to pass on the culture and values of the company.
