Team presentation and main goal

  • The Senior Front Office Reconciliation Officer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of transactions in the Front Office IT systems. The main goal is to reconcile discrepancies between Front Office systems and external records, while also acting as the Team Leader backup in case of need for projects follow-up, controlling performance and declaration, and overseeing presentations and other related tasks.

Main tasks and goals

  • We are currently looking for a highly motivated and skilled Senior Front Office Reconciliation Officer to join our dynamic financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic oversight of the front office reconciliation process, collaborating closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement of our financial operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Front Office reconciliation to ensure the correct representation of the operations in the FO IT System on an extended products perimeter, strictly applying the correct procedures and standards.
  • Pursues a detailed analysis by reviewing transactions to ensure they are accurately recorded in the systems.
  • Detects discrepancies or errors during consistency controls and reports them to the relevant teams (Front Office; Trade Support or IT) to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Reports the results of the reconciliations and communicates findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyzes business requirements and suggests improvements of tools to enhance the quality of the reconciliations.
  • Analyzes the impact of regulatory trends and developments with respect to FO Reconciliation and monitors the implementation of change.
  • Acts as a mentor to less experienced staff, explaining relevant procedures and providing technical skills development and spreading best practices.
  • Supports the team leader or team manager in coordinating resources effectively to ensure successful project execution, alignment with organizational goals, and timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Acts as the Team Leader backup in case of need for projects follow-up, controls performance and declaration, and oversees presentation and other related tasks.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Master's degree in Finance
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of market finance products and preferably FO to Post trade processes
  • Strong understanding of controls and operational risks, as well as regulations or norms (e.g., ISO 9001, MiFID, EMIR, and/or DFA)
  • Has fundamental knowledge in technical, scientific, or specialized fields, understanding and applying concepts comprehensively, consciously, and intuitively, as well as their context and underlying impacts and implications in the area/organization
  • Performs activities that require planning, organization, integration of information, using knowledge of other related activities, and analyzes and diagnoses more ambiguous situations with several sources of information, requiring specific judgment on solutions
  • Acts with autonomy, being able to assume responsibilities of planning, execution, and control and having medium to high impact on the decision-making processes
  • Interacts with others influencing and persuading on a limited number of audiences in order to obtain and generate commitment by changing behaviors
  • Mastery of digital tools (e.g., MS Office package)
  • Good English skills, both written and verbal.
