  • Job Description
  • The Group Product Manager Portugal is responsible for leading and executing the marketing strategy for multiple products in the Portuguese market. This role is a key member of the Iberia Brand Teams, collaborating closely with Spanish counterparts to adapt and implement both global and local strategies for Portugal. The position ensures alignment with local market needs, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
  • The role aims to establish Sobi as a key partner in rare diseases, fostering strong relationships with Portuguese healthcare professionals, as well as ensuring the successful development and delivery of agreed pre- and post-license marketing projects. The position holder will also be expected to travel within Portugal, as well as to the HQ office in Madrid, as part of regular business activities.
  • Under the direction of the Portuguese Country Lead, this person will work with local medical and patient access colleagues, as well as HQ staff, in a cross-functional approach to Sobi’s interactions with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the Iberia Brand Teams for key products, representing the Portuguese market.
  • Adapt and implement global and Spanish brand strategies and tactics for the Portuguese market, ensuring both relevance and compliance.
  • Manage multiple products simultaneously, prioritizing resources and activities according to lifecycle stage and market opportunities.
  • Lead the execution of marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and training programs tailored to Portugal, aiming to maximize commercial and KAM performance.
  • Develop and localize communication and educational materials in collaboration with the medical and access teams.
  • Measure and report the impact of marketing initiatives in Portugal, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key Portuguese stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and payers.
  • Represent Sobi Portugal at relevant national and international events, congresses, and meetings.
  • Lead and organize the company’s participation and engagement in local events and initiatives.
  • Drive digital transformation and omnichannel initiatives across marketing and commercial functions.
  • Collaborate with HQ and other affiliates to share best practices and ensure consistency in brand strategy.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and support budget planning for the Portuguese market.
  • Carefully manage all marketing costs and investments for the allocated products.
  • Collaborate closely with HQ to manage and support projects, traveling as needed to ensure alignment.
  • Take ownership of customer networking, working with the Country Lead and KAM team to manage key stakeholder relationships across the country.
  • Spend approximately 20–50% of working time in the field, supporting business activities and interacting with key customers.
  • Qualifications
  • Education
  • University degree, preferably in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine or related fields.
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably within rare or specialty diseases.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a medical-marketing or marketing role.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple products and collaborate effectively within matrix organizations.
  • Experience in product launches and in adapting international campaigns to local markets.
  • Strong understanding of the Portuguese healthcare system and its decision-making processes.
  • Direct customer relationship management experience, with the ability to address customer needs while delivering company projects.
  • Responsibility and proven experience in monitoring OPEX against agreed targets, as well as conducting competitive intelligence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a hands-on approach to marketing project delivery.
